EPA Lead Safety Certification Training

To protect environment and individual from this risk, US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) released a rule on April 22, 2008 – requesting the application of lead-safe procedures such as use of High Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) filter equipments like HEPA Vacuum and further methods intended for protecting against lead poisoning.

In the new rule, added April 22, 2010, contractors performing renovation repair and painting (RRP) tasks that disrupt lead-based paint in home facilities, child care centers, and educational facilities built prior to 1978 need to be EPA certified and should follow particular work practices to prevent lead contamination.
